When a candidate describes their best day at work, it helps you to understand what makes them tick and what their intrinsic motivators are. On the other hand, when a candidate describes their worst day at work, you have insight into their team orientation, their view of their position in the grand scheme, and their level of personal responsibility to find solutions.
PRO TIP: Put this question to the top performers in your team. Next time you you go through the interview process, watch for candidates who’s answers are similar to your star players.
