It can also show which qualities the hiring manager is really prioritizing, so you can evaluate and make sure that this is the opportunity for you.
“What makes this company different from the competition?”
This question may seem generic, and the answer may seem a little rehearsed. But it can reveal a lot about how the company views itself, and what they prioritize. It can provide great insight into what the employees deem most memorable about the company.
“Is there anything that you wish you knew before joining the company?”
If the answer is yes, make sure to really turn your listening ears on. This can bring light to any company flaws, or values the company has that the employees may not agree with. It can also provide insight into the work-life balance or company policies.
Make sure that you are also diving in and asking follow-up questions. BE CURIOUS. Any job that you may have, you spend a good portion of your life there, so make sure that it is the right fit for you. Don’t just take the first opportunity that may come.
