Our interview question of the week is: Tell me about a time you felt you went above and beyond the call of duty to get a job done.
This question does a great job of gauging how well the candidate can overcome challenges and their level of perseverance. You also gain a better understanding of how well the candidate can handle stress and if they are able to break down larger tasks into smaller ones. If the candidate tells you a concise personal story about a specific situation and identifies what they learned from that experience then that tells you that they can handle challenging situations and learn from those experiences.
